Eddie Jordan has bravely revealed his fight against "aggressive" prostate and bladder cancer, urging others to go and get checked early. The former Formula 1 team boss and the face behind Jordan Grand Prix, is well-known for shaping the careers of numerous motorsport stars, including the likes of Michael Schumacher. Jordan opened up about his personal battle with cancer on his podcast 'Formula for Success', which he co-hosts with David Coulthard.
The 76-year-old admitted that his health struggles had been hinted at during previous episodes, and acknowledged that he had dealt with some "dark days" during treatment. Jordan said: "We've kind of alluded to it David, over the shows. Way back in March and April, I was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer.
And then it spread into the spine and the pelvis, so it was quite aggressive." The Irishman also gave recognition to Sir Chris Hoy's valiant admission of his own cancer experience earlier this year. The Olympian hero's disclosure in October concerning his dire prognosis shook fans, as Hoy detailed how the cancer had moved to his bones - leaving him with a life expectancy of two to four years.
Jordan continued: "And we've all heard about our wonderful friend Sir Chris Hoy, who is an absolute megastar, and he [was] coming out and talking about illness such as like what I've got, but he's a far younger man. But this is a little message for all the anchors and everybody listening to this: don't wait or put it off. "Go and get te.
