Sharing a video of his wife Ali and daughter Summer walking against a stunning sunset, he told his followers about the recent devastating events. Not only did he suffer the death of his beloved Aunty Denny, but his mother was then taken ill and then toddler daughter Summer fell and needed to be taken into A&E.

Writing on Instagram, he told fans: "We didn’t finish documenting our roadtrip because soon after this shot we heard news of the sudden and unexpected death of an adored family member. "A few hours later my Mum ends up in hospital. Then yesterday, Summer had a fall on her head and is rushed to A&E (she’s okay 🙏).

When it rains it pours. "As a family we are built to find the positives..

.but we just can’t find them here. It all feels cruel.

"Grief is the price we pay for love. I won’t stop loving, deeply. So I’ll have to accept the deep pain of grieving.

That’s life. Enjoy every moment with your family this summer. Love x.

" His message was then flooded with support from friends, fans and some of his EastEnders co-stars. Clair Norris , who plays Bernadette Taylor, wrote: "Sending you and your family so much love." Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar, added: "Oh, James.

My heart is with you and your family. Grief is the price we pay for love. Glad Summer is bouncing about again.
