Working with Holding Hearts Baby Loss Support, a charity dedicated to helping hospitals across the UK in their support of bereaved families, OUH has been offering baby loss resources. Holding Hearts provides these resources, which include resin hearts and holders for pictures, to families grieving the loss of a baby. Jules Woodall, specialist midwife at the EPAU, said: "We're incredibly grateful to Holding Hearts for these beautiful donations.
"Small touches like these can really make a difference for families going through one of the most challenging times of their lives." A recent bake sale held as a thank you for Holding Hearts raised £140. Jessica Perry, the founder of Holding Hearts, said: "We're so pleased to be able to provide our memory hearts, books and scan cards to Oxford EPAU and the response that we have already received from bereaved parents and the staff working at the unit has been great.
"As a small charity which relies on generous donations to stay afloat, it was such a wonderful surprise to find out about the money raised with the EPAU recent bake sale. "We're constantly growing and trying to improve our care and hope to be able to support many more families in the Oxford area in the years to come.".
