has launched a tirade against ahead of his return to TV. The former presenter, 64, destroyed the disgraced host in a massive on-air rant on his programme on Monday (September 30). In the scathing remarks, Eamonn did not hold back in voicing his displeasure for Schofield.

Phillip is making his comeback to TV after leaving both This Morning and after his affair with a much younger colleague came to light. Phillip has always maintained the legality of the relationship with the colleague, branding it as "unwise but not illegal". The former Cube presenter is now gearing up for his new show Cast Away, where Phillip was left marooned on a desert island for ten days.



With only himself and a camera to hand, Phillip explained in the trailer for the show that this is an opportunity to tell "his side of the story". However, 16 months on from the scandal, Northern Irish broadcaster Eamonn was not buying into the new show. Explaining his thoughts, Eamonn had a simple message: "I believe he is where he deserves to be.

"I am one of the people who threw him under the bus, I am very proud to have done it," he added. "This man is addicted to fame. Absolutely addicted to fame.

" Eamonn's remarks came after Phillip admitted that he had felt "thrown under the bus" by his former colleagues. The revelations came after he was dropped on the island of Nosy Ankarea, off the coast of Madagascar.
