East African Breweries Limited have announced plans to issue ticket refunds to day 2 ticket holders of the raved about WalkerTown concert following disruptions that have drawn copius amounts of backlas h. The two-day event made the news the weekend over, mostly on the negative. From a security breach that resulted in a stampede and hundreds of youthful concertgoers accessing the venue, the concert’s standards have been under heavy criticism.

So much so, that EABL have issued a statement on Monday, September 30. “We sincerely apologize to all our valued festival-goers, suppliers, artistes, and stakeholders for the disruptions experienced during Day Two of the WalkerTown festival,” Reads the statement in part. They attribute the disruptions to technical challenges mostly occasioned by rain, which in turn affected the sound system, leading Ms.



Lauryn Hill’s performance and the cancellation of Nyashinski’s performance. “We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to everyone who was affected. We understand the importance of meeting the high expectations we consistently strive to deliver,” They quip.

The company promises to issue a 100% refund of the cash value of each ticket, to processed within the next fortnight..
