A GANGSTER who thought his encrypted EncroChat handset would keep his drug dealing plot under wraps is the latest hood to be snared by crimebusters. Wales was using his device to take a “hands off approach” when chatting to Glasgow gangsters who were supplying him with narcotics. But the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday heard his activities were revealed when his incriminating messages were swept up and handed to the National Crime Agency. Scots cops were then called in and they discovered Wales was being supplied with cocaine , heroin and valium tablets from a man called Richard Parvin who was later caged for seven years and four months in 2022 .
