in Porlock has scooped up two awards in one night. Bossington Hall- which was built in 1911 and only recently converted into a bed and breakfast - won both a Taste of the West Award and Bossington Hall is nestled just a few miles away from with eight acres of garden and lovely views over Bossington Bay. Visitors can make use of the Hall's bar, sauna, and massage therapy sessions on offer.

Co-owner Guy said: "W “We are incredibly proud of this award in particular, as it showcases the South West’s champion products, from Pasties to Jam to B&B’s” In relation to the Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Choice, he added: "This is a real honour - the Guide only includes places that have had outstanding reviews and we can only thank our guests who have spent valuable time writing reviews for the Guide.” Winning the Taste of the West award was a true challenge involving a 'secret shopper' coming to stay at the hall and assessing everything from the quality of the to the shower. The award was given out at a glossy ceremony in Exeter attended by over 500 people earlier this week.



John Sheaves, Chief Executive of Taste of the West, said: “To see so many businesses represented in one room from our sector makes me feel incredibly proud of what this industry has achieved in recent years. This was the largest gathering of the South West regional food and drink awards to date in the history of the programme and our sincere congratulations go to all the finalists and overall champion winne.
