Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku, the first television special from the Dragon Ball Z anime, is set to air on Cartoon Network on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 1 PM. The special will be broadcast in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam dubs. This prequel to the Dragon Ball series is set twelve years before the events of Dragon Ball.
It tells the story of Goku’s father, Bardock, and his desperate attempt to prevent the destruction of Planet Vegeta by Frieza and save the Saiyan race from extinction. Originally released on October 17, 1990, in Japan, Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku is an important special episode because of its deeper exploration of Saiyan history. In addition to the special, starting August 25, every Sunday at 2 PM.
