Douglas was a truck driver for 47 years. He had a passion for driving. Nobody knew the roads better than he did.

He felt great pride in taking his son Scott with him on various runs and teaching him about life over the road, and was so proud when Scott followed in his footsteps. Douglas was able to drive all over the United States and take in the beauty of our country. Most recently he was employed with Garden Homes Management Corporation as Resident Manager of Edgewood Acres in Chatham, NY.



Douglas is survived by his loving companion DeAnn Reed, his mother Dorothy Muller Pischinger of Chatham, his children; Scott Hults and girlfriend Kelly Yantz of Freehold, Andrew Hults and his wife Ronda of Afton, Melissa Anderson and her husband Roland of Preston Hollow, Jennifer Hults of Latham, and Autumn Hults of New Lebanon, 4 grandchildren; Seth Pacella, Mark Mayes, Harleigh Anderson, and Ava Anderson He is also survived by his brothers; Clayton Hults and his wife Cathy of Newburgh, Robert Hults and his wife Robin of Pine Bush, and Timothy Hults and his wife Patti of Dingman's Ferry, PA. Douglas also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Doug will be greatly missed by all, but especially by his fur baby Lucy.

Douglas was predeceased by his father Robert Hults, his brother Gary Hults, as well as a daughter in law, Pamela Clark. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 11 a.m.

to1 p.m. at Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Ave, Chatham, NY 12037 with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.

m.. Interment will be in the Ghent Union Cemetery .
