EAMONN Holmes furiously clashed with a guest on live TV while hosting GB News' breakfast show. Presenter Eamonn , 64, whose split with his wife Ruth Langsford , also 64, was revealed by The Sun in May, lost his cool as one contributor appeared on the channel yesterday. The TV veteran raged: "Don't lecture me!" when motivational speaker Imarn Ayton, 33, objected to his suggestion that flying the Union Jack flag was "no big deal".

During the noisy debate, Imarn declared: "I understand racism more than you!" to which Eamonn fired back: "Give me a break!" The dispute started after she suggested that Britons should re-evaluate their association with the flag due to its connection to far-right groups. It followed reports that a Norfolk village had become divided over plans to erect a flagpole outside its village hall. read more on Eamonn Holmes Claxton, home to fewer than 300 people, had hoped to install the flagpole as a patriotic symbol.

However, the proposal sparked controversy, with some residents claiming it could deter potential new arrivals. Viewers were left furious with Imarn's comments and soon took to X, formerly Twitter , to share their thoughts. One wrote: "Get this nutter off! It's people like her who make our country divided!" This does not make me far right and I find her views rather offensive to our country! This is yet another attack on our country and she’s looking to create division!" A third agreed: "All I can say after the debate on the Union flag, MY BLOOD IS BOILING." "She is still wearing her wedding ring and doesn’t feel right taking it off at the moment and she wanted to be as respectful as possible and does want to invite any more speculation about their situation. "But seeing Eamonn’s new woman wearing an engagement ring over the weekend really upset her, not because of Eamonn moving on, but because she finds it hard having their marriage and split back in the limelight again. "She would prefer it was done in private but she understands that there will be interest - it just feels like another blow - and she feels embarrassed about it all".

The Sun contacted Ruth's rep for comment at the time. Eamonn reportedly sent Ruth a reassuring message after pictures of Katie with a ring on circulated. Beaming Katie was spotted running errands near the TV star’s home, showing off the sparkler.
