In what appeared to be an attempt on his life, a shooter at a campaign rally today struck former US President Donald Trump in the ear. Several rounds were fired toward the stage from an elevated point outside the event venue, according to the Secret Service, who confirmed the alleged attempt on Donald Trump's life. Now that rounds were being fired at Donald Trump, a video of snipers and Secret Service agents in action has surfaced.

Later, Security Service agents apprehended and neutralized the gunman. The identity and motivation of the shooter were first unclear.

Shortly after Trump ascended the stage for his farewell campaign rally, there was a shooting. The 78-year-old Trump winced and put his hand to his right ear, revealing blood quickly all over his face. As the security personnel approached him, he turned back to the audience and raised his fist many times in what is sure to become a famous picture.

Donald Trump later posted on Truth Social,"I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear." He added, "I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.".
