It was written by Parton herself, and features illustration by artist MacKenzie Haley.
The story was also inspired by Parton’s ‘Comin’ Home For Christmas’ lyrics. Parton wrote on social media to announce the book: “I always love celebrating Christmas with my family and of course my god-dog @btkthefrenchie. Using my ‘Comin’ Home for Christmas’ lyrics, I wanted to tell a story about the importance of family and friends, especially during the holidays.
