Raveena Tandon in a recent interview opened up about turning down a film with Shah Rukh Khan. Scroll down to read the reason. Published: August 10, 2024 1:04 PM IST By Edited by Raveena Tandon and Shah Rukh Khan have worked on several movies together.

The chemistry between the two was loved by the audience. However, not many people know that Raveena once refused to work with SRK for a film. Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, the actress opened up about turning down a film where she would have shared the screen with Shah Rukh.

While Raveena did not reveal the details of the film, she mentioned that she refused the project after discussions about her costumes in it. During a conversation with Filmfare, Raveena said, “It (the film) was with Shah Rukh Khan, and I had almost signed it until the time came to discuss the costumes. The costumes were really weird.

It wasn’t something I would be comfortable wearing. I thought it was a little too objectifying. I said, ‘No, sorry, I can’t.

'” Tandon was quick to acknowledge Shah Rukh Khan’s exceptional qualities as a co-actor, praising his wit, warmth, and gentlemanly demeanour. However, when the time came to inform him of her decision to leave the film, she felt compelled to explain her hesitation about the film’s outlandish costume designs. She added, “SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) said, ‘Are you mad? Why are you saying no now?’ because we were already doing a film with the most amazing music called Jaadu.

And we were doing Zamaana Deewana, and we really used to get along. SRK is one of the wittiest, warmest, and most gentlemanly co-actors to work with. He is decent to the core.

And I told him I can’t wear that stuff...

‘I’ll feel funny, I’ll feel strange.’” Meanwhile, on Shah Rukh Khan’s work front, the actor is currently gearing up to feature in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming project King. According to reports, the movie will also feature King Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan.

The movie marks the first collaboration between the father and daughter duo. Also, Abhay Verma, who impressed the audience with his performance in Munjya, will be a part of Sujoy Ghosh’s directorial. For breaking news and live news updates, like us on or follow us on and .
