Friday, July 19, 2024 London Stansted Airport is buzzing with anticipation for its busiest summer ever, as an estimated 4.3 million passengers are expected to travel through during the school holidays. Over the next six weeks, the airport is set to welcome an average of 97,000 passengers daily, heading to popular destinations such as the Spanish Costas, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Dubai, Portugal’s Algarve, Turkey, and the Greek Islands.

Additionally, tens of thousands of international visitors will use Stansted as their gateway to explore London and the East of England. To ensure a smooth start to their journeys, passengers are advised to: In preparation for the summer rush, Stansted has introduced several new and improved amenities. The new Café Bar in the Satellite Two gate area and the first grab-and-go food and drink unit allow passengers to pick up hot snacks at any time.



The main departure lounge has been enhanced with new toilet facilities, extra water fountains, and refurbished seating areas. Outside the terminal, a high-speed electric vehicle (EV) charging hub and two new drive-thru food outlets have been added on the main road in and out of the airport. Additionally, Stansted has launched the ‘Save Money.

Holiday Better.’ booklet just in time for the summer holidays. This booklet offers passengers special money-off deals, free gifts, and exclusive kids-eat-free vouchers as part of the terminal shopping experience.

Passengers can download the booklet online or pick it up at various points around the terminal. Jonathan Fowler, London Stansted’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “London Stansted has seen recording breaking passenger numbers every month this year, and we are now set to experience our busiest ever summer as millions prepare to jet off during the school holidays. “The UK’s rather damp summer has clearly encouraged many people to take advantage of the choice, value and simplicity of using London Stansted.
