Renowned Kenyan DJ Kalonje has threatened to take legal action against Oga Obinna for defamation claims. Media personality Oga Obinna is facing backlash after alleging that DJ Kalonje, despite being regarded as one of the country’s best DJs, cannot perform live mixes. Kalonje whose real name is George Waweru, posted the defamation notice on his Instagram page, condemning Obinna’s actions as unprofessional and immature, and making it clear that such behavior would not be tolerated.

The remarks were made during an interview on Obinna’s YouTube channel, where he was interviewing the Three Men Army. In a two-minute video clip seen by The Sauce, he claimed that during an MC gig at Zetech University with DJ Kalonje, the mixmaster asked him to keep entertaining the crowd while he queued the next song alleging that Kalonje lacked the skills to perform live mixes. Unhappy with these accusations, DJ Kalonje swiftly filed a lawsuit against the entertainer known for his comic prowess.

The lawsuit asserts that Obinna’s claims amount to defamation and pose a threat to Kalonje’s business and brand, potentially affecting both his current and future bookings.
