Ahmedabad: This Diwali, Ahmedabad and Gujarat’s corporate gifting scene is booming, with businesses opting for fresh, premium options that showcase the state's love for festive extravagance and meaningful gifts. Budgets have increased, with a strong focus on personalized, customized, and eco-friendly choices. Industry estimates suggest that the market could exceed ₹3,000 crore this Diwali season, positioning Ahmedabad among India’s top five gifting hubs.
According to a TOI report, Shital Shah, chairman of the Corporate Gifts Association of India, noted a growth of around 20 percent, calling Gujarat a key market for corporate gifting. Shah said, "Dry fruits make up a large portion, and many chocolate and sweet makers offer products shaped like firecrackers. While decorative items were popular in previous years, practical items for daily use are now preferred.
Mobile accessories are in demand this year," quoted TOI. Ankit Thakker, founder of a local corporate gifting company, confirmed the increase in demand, with budget ranges typically between ₹500 to ₹2,500 per kit and reaching up to ₹15,000 for exclusive selections for high-value clients, business associates, and top executives. “For these select groups, companies are going beyond traditional items, offering luxury tech gadgets like portable speakers and premium cameras,” Thakker shared with TOI.
The report also highlighted that Ahmedabad's pharmaceutical industry is a consistent leader in gifting investment.
