Mooney worked as an ear, nose and throat surgeon until April 2022, when his medical registration was cancelled after two patients died. Six months later he was also caught by police buying cocaine on a Bondi street. He pleased guilty to one count of possessing a prohibited drug at the time and escaped a conviction.
However Mooney is back. But we’re not sure he wants to make it known. Mooney declined The Telegraph’s request for a photo however our spies snapped the celebrity surgeon at the much hyped Hunting Hue event in Sydney.
Mooney was spotted passionately kissing his girlfriend Gemma Wright on the dance floor, proving she has stuck by her boyfriend despite his controversial past. In February 2018, after operating on a 24-year-old patient to fix a snoring issue, Mooney spotted some bleeding but thought he had repaired the artery. However two days later, the man underwent an emergency operation because of a recurrent haemorrhage, suffered a heart attack, and died.
Then in November 2017, while attempting to unblock the sinuses of a 41-year-old man, Mooney became disorientated and penetrated the bone below the patient’s brain. This disrupted an artery and caused bleeding into the fr.
