Hot water was provided by traditional donkey boilers, and a dedicated campsite attendant ensured a steady supply of firewood, hot water, and cleanliness throughout our stay. With stunning river views and lush, shaded surroundings, the campsites were a perfect retreat for relaxation.
For those preferring a more traditional stay, KaingU Safari Lodge offers luxurious accommodations on raised wooden decks overlooking the Kafue River. The lodge features six double Meru-style tents, each with en suite bathrooms, indoor showers, and outdoor showers for a truly immersive experience. The following morning, we embarked on an early game drive in Kafue National Park after a short boat ride across the river. Despite the cool morning air, we were warmly greeted with hot water bottles and blankets, making the experience comfortable.
