Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited people to visit Gujarat’s Kutch during the ongoing Rann Utsav, calling it an unforgettable experience. In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, "Kutch awaits you all! Come, discover the pristine White Rann, the spectacular culture and warm hospitality of Kutch during the ongoing Rann Utsav." He added that the festival, running till March 2025, promises to be a truly memorable experience.

Kutch, renowned for its unique culture, wildlife sanctuary and vast white salt desert, has become a major tourist destination, especially during the Rann Utsav. Rann Utsav, held in the White Rann of Kutch, is a grand celebration of the region’s vibrant desert culture, tourism, and local arts. The festival has grown into a popular tourist attraction, offering a mix of cultural performances, local handicrafts, and an opportunity to experience the serene desert landscape.



This year, the festival runs from December 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. The Gujarat government has made several arrangements to ensure visitors have a seamless experience during the festival. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced that direct Volvo bus services from Ahmedabad airport to Dhordo will be available for both domestic and international tourists.

In addition, over 460 luxury tents, valued at Rs 54 crore, have been set up to offer a unique desert stay experience during the festival. (with agency inputs).
