Dirty Heads are coming home for Thanksgiving. The Huntington Beach-bred reggae band is set to headline this year’s Alt 98.7 Friendsgiving concert on Friday, Nov.
22 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. Friends will be joining them of course, with sets from Sublime with Rome and local ska-punk group The Interrupters and Beach Weather. The single-day event is set to serve as Sublime with Rome’s last show in Los Angeles and its final performance with longtime collaborators Dirty Heads.
Both groups have toured frequently together over the span of their careers. “It’s an absolute honor to be playing at such a legendary venue,” shares Duddy B, guitarist and vocalist of Dirty Heads in a recent press release. “November 22nd is going to be a special night!” Tickets for the event are now on sale at Ticketmaster.
com Even though Dirty Heads recently wrapped up their summer tour, the band is continuing to celebrate the digital deluxe release of their record “Midnight Control.” The record was released in 2023 via Better Noise Music and features 23 tracks, including acoustic versions of hits “Rescue Me,” “Life’s Been Good,” and “Island Glow.” There are also three lo-fi versions of album tracks, three unreleased songs and more in addition to all 10 tracks from the original album.
Sublime recently made an appearance at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, reuniting with Jakob Nowell, the son of the band’s late lead singer Bradley Nowell,.
