Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh recently performed in Ahmedabad as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour. He is all set to perform in Lucknow on November 22, and more major cities in the country till the end of the year. However, he recently make headlines after the Telangana government issued a legal notice banning him from performing songs promoting alcohol, drugs, and violence during his concert in Hyderabad.

His hit songs like Patiala Pegg and Panchatara were also mentioned in the complaint. Days after the incident the singer has now reacted to the same.



In a video on his Instagram, the singer said that he would stop singing songs about alcohol when the government bans it. He addressed the incident during his Ahmedabad concert and revealed that it is easy for him to tweak the lyrics of his songs but added that he doesn't consume alcohol, doesn’t advertise it and also called for a pan-India movement to ban it. The clip shows Diljit joking about how he didn’t get any notice during his Ahmedabad show.

But he added that he wouldn't sing any songs about alcohol as Gujarat is a dry state. "Today also I won't sing such songs. It's very easy for me to tweak the songs.
