Pune: Teams of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGCA ) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau ( AAIB ) on Thursday collected the black box of the Agusta AW109S Grand chopper that had crashed on Wednesday in Bavdhan killing two pilots and an engineer on board. Minister of state for civil aviation and Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol said the teams had come from Delhi and were now on their way back after collecting data and conducting necessary investigations. "They will now study the data and ascertain the cause or causes which led to this accident.
Further steps will be taken after the final report comes in." The helicopter, belonging to Delhi-based Heritage Aviation Private Limited, had taken off from the Oxford Golf Club helipad around 7.30am.
It crashed minutes later. Assistant commissioner of police Sunil Kurade told TOI that an AAIB team had reached the crash site late on Wednesday and carried out inspections. "On Thursday too the team was at the site.
