Two different developers appear to be at odds over which one of them is to take on a development of dozens of homes in Darcy Lever. Morris Homes applied for planning permission a number of years ago while Westchurch Homes applied for planning permission this year. Westchurch Homes' plan for around 130 homes is up for approval by the Planning Committee at the town hall this week . The Radcliffe Road developments are on the same site and are a mixture of one-to-four-bedroom apartments and houses but there are differences including the availability of affordable homes and the impact on the Green Belt. Morris Homes and around a dozen residents are amongst the objectors to Westchurch Homes but there is a recommendation to approve the application in addition to the already approved application.
