Detective Dotson, the upcoming mystery adventure game from Indian indie studio Masala Games, has revealed details about its soundtrack in a new developer diary video. The video features guitarist Nikhil Rao from the rock band Indian Ocean, who collaborated to compose the music for Detective Dotson. Rao reveals that the game consists of ten tracks that are “a fusion of rock and classical Hindustani genres.
” The video also discusses how ‘90s pop culture, including Seinfeld, Friends, and South Park, as well as growing up in semi-urban India during the ‘90s, influenced the game. The main theme music of Detective Dotson was also revealed, played by Rao and developer Shalin Shodhan.
