Saturday, November 9, 2024 Denver International Airport (DEN) is set to begin construction that will limit overnight access to the A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall for travelers moving between the Terminal and Concourse A. Ansbacher Hall serves as the connecting hallway from the Terminal’s north end to Bridge Security, an area notable for its art exhibits. This construction marks the first steps toward permanently closing the A-Bridge Security checkpoint and transforming Ansbacher Hall into a post-security space, accessible only to ticketed passengers screened by TSA or other credentialed personnel.

This transition aligns with the opening of the new East Security Checkpoint, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025. Upon completion, Ansbacher Hall will reopen as a secure corridor, enabling travelers who have cleared security at either the West or East Checkpoints to directly access Concourse A via Ansbacher Hall and the A-Bridge, bypassing the need for the train. Bridge Security will no longer operate, as passengers will have been pre-screened.



Arriving passengers will also be able to use the corridor to exit near the baggage claim and ground transportation areas, accessible from the West and East Checkpoints. A separate, non-secure passage within Ansbacher Hall will continue to offer pre-security access to DEN’s administrative offices located in the Airport Office Building.
