Rob Lowe has said he and actress Demi Moore "briefly had a thing" back in the 1980s, at the height of their Brat Pack fame. The 60-year-old West Wing actor was part of the hit coming-of-age movie St Elmo's Fire alongside Moore , 61, in 1985. He told Kelly Ripa on the Let's Talk Off Camera podcast: "Demi and I briefly, I'm not telling tales out of school - we briefly had a thing.

" The St Elmo's Fire cast featured a host of hot young eighties stars including Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson and Emilio Estevez. With many of the stars forming part of the Brat Pack - whose name was inspired by Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack - Lowe said some off-camera romance during filming was bound to happen. "Look, anytime you put young, 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable.

And I don't think that has changed," he told the podcast. Lowe also said a St Elmo's Fire sequel is in the works, and "moving along" albeit "slowly". He said he's in contact with Moore about the film, adding: "All of the actors [are] on board.

.. Everybody is excited.

" The cult classic follows a group of college graduates as they venture out into the world. A documentary about the Brat Pack, directed by former Brat-Packer Andrew McCarthy, featured some of the cast earlier this year.
