Delta Air Lines, as part of their network expansion for next year, has announced a series of new routes and increased services across its network from the airline's hub in Boston. These services will be seasonal and are focused on leisure destinations during the spring break and Patriot's Day holiday period of 2025. This announcement comes on the heels of the airline's largest ever Transatlantic expansion plans for next summer.
New and increased services from Boston Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) has always been important to Delta Air Lines , as it is one of the carrier's major hubs on the East Coast. As such, the airline has just announced a major network boost for the carrier's customers based in Boston by announcing two new seasonal routes along with increased services on 13 other routes from Delta's hub in Boston . Overall, as part of the announced network expansion, the carrier will operate 65 additional weekly flights from Boston during the Spring Break and Patriot's Day holiday periods next year.
While the majority of these increased services will operate from April 19th to April 27th of 2025 , frequency boosts to some destinations, such as Sarasota (SRQ), will commence as early as December 2024 and will remain operational through till May 2025. New destinations, new services, and even aircraft upgrades The two new destinations announced by the carrier are Myrtle Beach (MYR) and Pensacola (PNS) and these routes will be served by Delta only during the weekends. Additionally, Delta's weekend services to Sarasota will become daily during the Christmas and Spring Break periods, and the route is set to see an aircraft upgrade during this period as well. The airline's service from BOS to Savannah (SAV), which is currently served by Delta Connection's Embraer E175s, will also see an aircraft upgrade during the period.

Boosting services across the Atlantic Apart from increasing regional connectivity from Boston, the carrier also recently announced its largest ever Transatlantic schedule for Summer 2025. The airline has announced a series of destinations across Europe and has placed a particular focus on Italy, as the carrier aims to launch services to four Italian destinations from various Delta hubs: Catania Naples Rome Milan Delta Air Lines is focusing on Italy next summer and will make its Catania debut in May 2025.
This will be the first ever US connection for the city. With the newly announced Transatlantic schedule, Delta will be taking on its major competition, United Airlines, which had the largest Transatlantic operations last year , with Delta coming in second. Additionally, Delta's passengers will now have more options across the Atlantic than ever, with the airline's joint venture with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic being stronger than ever.
