Tuesday, September 10, 2024 Delta Air Lines is set to reduce its flight services between Cincinnati (CVG) and Denver (DEN) starting October 29, 2024. Data shows a steady decrease in flights on this route since August 2024. In August, Delta operated 62 round-trip flights between Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Denver International Airport (DEN).

That number will drop to 60 flights in September and further decline to 58 round trips in October. Delta primarily uses its Boeing 737-800 aircraft for this route, offering a total of 9,600 seats in September and 9,280 seats in October. Delta faces stiff competition on this route from four other airlines.

United Airlines leads with 120 round-trip flights in September, utilizing its Airbus A320s and Boeing 737s. Frontier Airlines follows with 75 flights and 14,610 seats, deploying Airbus A320s and A321s. Southwest Airlines, known for its low-cost service, will operate 68 flights, providing 11,900 seats.

Allegiant Air also operates on this route but offers fewer flights than its competitors. Despite cutting back on this route, Delta has been expanding its services in other areas. Recently, the airline introduced its first-ever direct flight between Tulsa International Airport (TUL) and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), marking a significant new route with no direct competition.

Delta will operate one daily flight year-round on this route, using its 76-seat Embraer E175 regional jets operated by Delta Connection partners..
