How to make air fryer apple turnover: Two large cooking apples (such as Bramley), peeled, cored, and diced 50g granulated sugar One tablespoon lemon juice One teaspoon ground cinnamon 50g stem ginger, finely chopped One sheet of ready-rolled puff pastry (about 320g) One egg, beaten Icing sugar, for dusting (optional) Vanilla ice cream or custard, to serve (optional) Firstly, preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for five minutes. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon and chopped stem ginger.

Mix well to coat the apples evenly. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into four equal squares. Divide the apple mixture evenly among the four squares of puff pastry, placing it in the centre of each square.

Fold each puff past.
