More than 1,000 objections have been submitted against plans for 190 homes to be built on farmland. Residents are up in arms over the proposals for the homes and a community development on farmland near Bewley Road in Angmering, submitted by Gleeson Land to Arun District Council in August. Protect Farmland West Of Bewley Road, a group of neighbours, has been leading the charge against the developer.
Lucy Todd, a member of the group, told The Argus: “In Angmering, we are overwhelmed with developments. She called the plans “inappropriate” and said they do not “bring enough benefits to outweigh the harm on the landscape and character of Angmering”.
