Since his passing, she has been back on the dating scene and admitted to dalliances with various men, but is yet to find anything long-term. Speaking on podcast Suddenly Single, Debbie shared: "I do need a driven person. I do need someone who has got a zest for life it doesnt have to say they are still working even.
"I want someone who wants to get up every day and enjoy life. Somebody who wants to sit and watch TV every day is not for me, " she added. Debbie also shared that she did not believe in using dating apps and enjoyed meeting men in person on dates.
She continued: "I believe if you look for it, you won't find it. It has just to happen. I have lots of flirtations with men.
"I go out for dinner or drinks, but I haven't found anyone where both ways we have felt this is the person to be more than a friendship. "I have never been on any of the dating apps. I like chemistry.
When I met Paul, I didn't know who he was. I hated magicians. We were married for 30, but together for 40.
" Debbie also admitted that loneliness hit her more when she was at home alone after losing Paul. She recalled: “I did [struggle with loneliness] at first—mostly being at home alone, not when I was out. Luckily for the former magician’s assistant, Strictly came along at just the right time when she was finding her grieving process particularly tough to cope with.
