A Spring 2028 release date is reportedly being targeted for “Dynamic Duo,” the theatrical release animated film from Warner Bros Pictures Animation. The project is said to follow the early days of Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, aka the Robins, who at this point in time are orphan thieves who name themselves the ‘dynamic duo’. Scooper (via ) revealed the release window and indicated the project will boast “massive action set pieces similar to ‘The Bourne Ultimatum'”.
The film marks the first joint project between DC Studios and WBPA and is being scripted by Matthew Aldrich while Arthur Mintz will direct. A new animation studio out of New Orleans named Swaybox is handling the project which will be told via ‘Momo Animation’ – a blend of CGI animation, practical elements of stop-motion, and live-action real-time performance. Gunn, Peter Safran, Theresa Andersson, and Matt Reeves produce.
The project is standalone with no connection to the Matt Reeves “Batman” films..
