DAYS of Our Lives has recast a fan-favorite character, ending months of speculation about AnnaLynne McCord's role on the soap. Days of Our Lives c onfirmed AnnaLynne, 37, was joining the show last December, when it was reported she had signed a one-year contract with the Peacock show. Her role was kept under wraps until Wednesday night's episode when the 90210 alum revived fan-favorite character Abigail DiMera on the long-running series.

Investigative journalist Abby is the daughter of Jack and Jennifer Deveraux (played by Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves) and the wife of Chad DiMera (portrayed by Billy Flynn). Abby was "presumed dead" after drug lord Clyde Weston (James Read) confessed to her murder on the show in 2022. A DNA test finally confirmed the identity of AnnaLynne's "Jane Doe" character as Abby during the episode on August 14, nearly eight months after she officially joined the cast.
