Sir David Jason has made a huge Only Fools and Horses show confession after claiming that his colleague was fired for laughing during filming. The 84-year-old starred on the popular BBC sitcom for 22 years as Del Boy Trotter. According to reports he shared that a crew member once failed to contain a giggling fit and was asked to leave the set.

During the filming of a 1982 episode called Ashes to Ashes, the humour was too much for a cameraman. During the infamous episode, the scene featured the Trotters brothers epically failing when they tried to scatter the remains of their relative. The ill-fated attempt saw Trigg pour his Trigger's grandfather's ashes into the River Thames.



However, the key moment was when a street cleaning lorry comes past and sucks up the urn. Rodney was left with his jaw wide open and began shouting at the driver. He said: "You've just sucked up our urn!".

To which the horrified council worker replied: "Oh my God, what was he? A kitten?" The actors were catapulted to fame for their one liners and whit on screen but the humour often over spilling onto the set. According to David, the moment was so hilarious that one of the cameramen struggled to hold back his laughter which took everyone by surprise. Allegedly it became a huge problem and left bosses furious.

The production team had no choice but to remove him and ask him to step aside from his duties. David added that he "couldn't control himself". Although this left him seriously shaken up.
