THE family of former RTE broadcaster David-Davin Power have paid tribute to him as they confirm his funeral details. The "beloved husband" and "cherished father" passed away yesterday at the age of 72. The journalist began his career at RTE in the 1980s and was part of the team that made Morning Ireland, the flagship radio show, in 1984.
He is survived by his wife Dearbhla and five children Nick, Caroline, Julia, Ben and Emily. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Oisín, Rossa, Rógan, Vincent, Margot and Frederick and his sister Mary. He will also be missed by his mother and father-in-law, his three brothers-in-law, his sister-in-law, his two nephews, as well as his extended family, friends and colleagues.
David will repose at his home in Dublin from 5pm to 7pm on Monday November, 4. His funeral mass will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Marino on Tuesday November, 5 at 11.
