Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and pop star Taylor Swift might not see eye-to-eye on politics, but they both have plenty of respect for each other. Dave attended the Saturday night (October 19) show of Taylor ‘s Eras Tour in Miami, Florida and received a handwritten letter from the singer. The BFFs podcast host revealed in a new episode of his show that Taylor ‘s brother Austin Swift hand-delivered the letter to him at the concert and he also got to meet her mom Andrea Swift .

Last month, Dave made headlines when he defended Taylor for endorsing Kamala Harris in the upcoming election, even though he plans on voting for Donald Trump . “As the king of the Swifties people are asking me what I think of her Kamala endorsement. I don’t care at all.
People can vote for whoever they want in this country,” he previously said. “How somebody votes will never change my opinion of a person. I’m voting the other way but to each their own.
” Taylor thanked him for the support in the handwritten letter. “Dave, I’m so happy to have you at the show tonight!” she wrote. “I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal, and for having my back when a lot of people didn’t.
