Dave Hughes is spotted for the first time since his radio show was axed as he goes for a sunny stroll in Melbourne with his daughter READ MORE: Ed Kavalee mocked during TV appearance after radio show is axed By Kinta Walsh-cotton For Daily Mail Australia Published: 01:44 EDT, 14 August 2024 | Updated: 02:16 EDT, 14 August 2024 e-mail View comments Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes appeared to be in low spirits on Monday as he was spotted with his daughter Sadie for the first time since his radio show was axed. The comedian, 53, lost his Hughesy, Ed & Erin breakfast show last week when it was sensationally axed amid spiralling ratings and 'commitment issues'. He seemed downcast by the news this week as he went for a sunny stroll through Melbourne with the eldest of his three kids, before grabbing a bite to eat.

The Aussie larrikin opted for a very comfortable outfit as he donned a pair of ripped blue jeans and a white jumper which read 'I'm Beyond Thought'. He paired the casual look with black socks and a pair of Crocs as he accessorised with a pair of black frames and styled his grey hair in an unkempt way. Meanwhile, daughter Sadie, 12, pulled on a pair of shorts and an oversized cream jacket before hiding her brunette locks beneath a beanie.

She followed in her famous dad's footsteps and she slipped on a pair of trendy but comfortable Crocs as well. Hughesy's axed 2Day FM radio show managed a mere 3.6 market share in the last ratings survey.

'We've loved our time together on 2DayFM Breakfast, however, due to some of our families living in different cities we are unable to commit to 2025, so with a heavy heart we are moving aside so 2DayFM can find the team to take them forward in Breakfast,' Hughesy, Ed and Erin said in a statement. 'We are so grateful to Sydney for their support, and to double the number of listeners in three years is something we are immensely proud of, and we will miss each and every one of them.
