Kannada film actor Darshan is currently in Ballari district prison for the murder case of his fan Renukaswamy. In his bail petition, the actor called himself innocent and claimed he was framed in this case. Justice M Nagaprasanna headed the bench at the Karnataka High Court which heard the bail application on Friday, September 27.

A Bengaluru Court adjourned the hearing on the bail plea of Darshan and his seven associates, who have been lodged in different jails following their arrest on charges of brutally murdering Renukaswamy of Chitradurga from June to September 30. The 57th Sessions Court at Bengaluru took up Darshan’s bail plea. The advocates representing the accused Darshan sought time for arguments, following which the Court adjourned the next hearing to today, September 30.



The court will decide on the actor’s bail petition today. Darshan’s bail petition further said that he has been “fixed” in the case. “Barring the major injury on the head, no major injuries were found on the body of Renukaswamy.

There is no clarity on his exact time of death. There are contradictions between the statements before the court and the medical reports,” the bail petition stated. It further highlighted the absence of evidence for the Darshan’s alleged crime of murder.

The bail petition states that authorities have created evidence against Darshan in the case. Recently, Darshan was interrogated by the Income Tax official over unaccountable money. They requested the court .
