Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been in police custody for more than two months. Media reports indicate that the actor fainted inside the Bengaluru prison and is now recovering his health. Since then the actor has been under police custody in Bengaluru prison. Multiple media portals have indicated that Darshan’s health has been a major concern since his arrest. A news report by claimed that the actor’s health deteriorated and he fainted inside the prison.



Darshan Thoogudeepa Faints Inside Prison Before the actor was turned up to the police, Darshan had earlier requested for home-cooked food and other basic amenities to be served inside the prison. According to the updates, Darshan’s health is been a major concern for his massive fan following in the Sandalwood industry. Darshan Thoogudeepa has been in custody for over two months, having been arrested on June 11 in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case.

Reports indicate that he’s shown noticeable weight loss and grown pale during his custody in prison. However, the actor has multiple textbooks to read such as the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, and Mahabharata, along with various autobiographies of significant figures like Yogi and Vivekananda. About Renukaswamy Murder Case Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, Karnataka was kidnapped and taken to Bengaluru where he was reportedly held hostage in an isolated shed.

Later Renukaswamy’s dead body was found floating in a sewage drain with dogs feasting on him. Working as an employee at Apollo Pharmacy in Chitradurga, Renuka was murdered in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. Rumours have it that the reason behind this horrifying incident might be sending derogative messages to Kannada actress, Pavithra Gowda, who is a close associate of Darshan.

Darshan and his associates have been faced with a slew of serious charges by the Bengaluru Police, under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Crimes as significant as homicide, erasing of vital evidence, offering deceptive information, engaging in criminal alliances, abduction, application of violent force, blackmail, illegal gathering, instigating riots, and being found guilty of rioting with deadly weapons in possession are included. Allegedly, Raghavendra, one of the individuals under suspicion, kidnapped Renukaswamy from Chitradurga, Karnataka, and transported him to Bengaluru.
