Rising producer DARGZ has shared new single ‘Shedding’. The musician’s grasp of club energy has made him one-to-watch, with DARGZ aligning this to jazz-like dexterity. Working with real freedom, his supple catalogue has charmed listeners, who flocked to his sold out show at London’s the Lower Third recently.
New single ‘Shedding’ continues his rise. Always keen to link with new voices, the track was built alongside Australian artist Milan Ring, with the two constructing the song from the ground up. Long-time CLASH favourite Oscar Jerome then dropped by, and his silken vocal tops a track that moves between the metallic percussion to a rare groove bassline.
Set to play London’s Jazz Cafe on February 27th, ‘Shedding’ seems to epitomise what makes DARGZ so exciting – his desire to collaborate, and to stretch his music. DARGZ comments..
. “ I got the chance to spend a day with Australian artist Milan Ring when she was in London. From our session I chopped up her vocals and got the rhythmic beat that opens the song.
Once we had that foundation one of London’s silkiest singers Oscar Jerome came over to the studio and he nailed the lead vox while jamming out on guitar. It was a pleasant surprise these separate elements blended together and created the vibe I was after ..
