Fresh from his departure from iconic soap EastEnders , the actor treated himself and his family to a lavish beach holiday, looking forward to some downtime after securing a new gig in Australia. Addressing the issue on the Life's a Beach podcast with Alan Carr , Danny gushed about the opulent resort where you're treated like royalty, boasting "f*****g three waiters to every geezer" and not having to wake up at dawn to "nick a f*****g sunbed".

Danny revealed: "I swear to God if I'd had a pony and I'd run out of khazi paper, there'd be someone there - little hand would have come through, given you some khazi roll, would probably wipe the a**e for ya. But it was 140 grand, this holiday." But the kicker came when he realised wine was not part of the package, sharing: "It's a lot of dough and I thought it was all-inclusive, but it turned out the wine wasn't f*****g free.

So, they were going, 'Ah, sir, we recommend this...

," reports the Mirror . Carr couldn't help but wonder if Dyer blew the whole budget on vino, only for the Human Traffic actor to admit that he didn't realise he had to pay for the wine until the holiday was almost over, estimating a "probably about 30 grand" spend on the beverage. Alan showed empathy, noting Dyer couldn't just nip to the local booze shop, and cheekily quizzed the Mean Machine star on whether he curbed his expletive language while away.

Dyer, ever the straight-talker, declared his need to "express" himself regardless of the setting. Danny revealed he even conducted a cheeky "test" to see just how attentive the staff were. Recounting a moment where he had a "bit of meat in my tooth", he decided to pretend to "pick" at it.

To his amusement, almost instantly, a member of staff dashed over "with a f*****g toothpick on a tray straight away", proving that "they're always waiting to help ya". The wine bill didn't dampen his spirits as Danny described the getaway as "lovely". He particularly relished spending Christmas away from home, which spared him from having "every f****r" over at his place, driving him "mad".
