Dannii Minogue was moved to tears while discussing her sister Kylie's battle with cancer. In an emotional exchange with ABC's Take 5 host Zan Rowe, the younger Minogue sibling shed light on the resilience and determination of the Love At First Sight singer following her breast cancer diagnosis in May 2005. Kylie, who underwent a lumpectomy and commenced chemotherapy treatment shortly afterwards, defied the odds when there was "no recurrence" of the disease post-operation.

Kylie made a courageous reappearance only two months after her surgery by visiting young patients in the cancer ward of Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital. She subsequently continued her chemotherapy treatment in France, with her publicist confirming the end of this stage of her treatment in January 2006. Reflecting with Zan on that challenging time, Dannii said: "My sister got sick with breast cancer and she was in the middle of a tour.

" Overcome with emotion, she recalled: "I remember her getting carried off stage and stuff. When I would go and visit her when she was having chemo and was very, very unwell. I would just jump around to music with her.

", reports the Mirror . For the Minogues, it was their love for music that proved to be therapeutic during Kylie's ordeal. "It was music that kept us going and she was like, 'I need to finish the tour! ' Like, she's so professional.

"We were like, 'Oh for god's sake, we need to keep you alive!' We knew that was her goal to get back and honour all those ticket.
