Now, after also opening up about the way s he handled her past relationship with Ryan Seacrest and a sexual assault she suffered from as a young child, Julianne is also opening up about the relationship she has with her brother–and admitting that tragedies like the recent one involving his wife, Hayley Erbert –can change things.

Especially with what just happened with Derek and Haley, there could have been little things just kind of looming or lingering in the background, but when you’re left with life-or-death situations, nothing else matters,” she told the publication. “Whatever little things of competition there are or whatever it might be, those things just go away,” she continued. “When something tragic happens or something really hard or something where somebody needs you.

In December, just a few months after he and Hayley married, Derek revealed his wife fell ill after a show on their tour and had emergency surgery for a cranial hematoma. , my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,” Hough said in a statement on Instagram in December. “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition.

” He later updated fans to know that she had also undergone a cranioplasty to replace the piece of her skull that had been removed for her initial surgery. She has since recovered and returned to dancing with her husband on tour..
