BlackCarrot’s cofounder Yadupati Gupta told Inc42 that the company has closed the initial tranche of the seed funding and the remaining round is expected to be closed over the next three months. Yadupati added that the startup is in discussions with other funds to finalise the balance.
BlackCarrot plans to use the fresh capital for product development and expanding its presence across various marketplaces. Currently, the startup is live on all major ecommerce platforms, including Tata CliQ Luxury, Myntra, Amazon and Ajio.
