D. Lois Meenan-Heath OBITUARY Dymple Lois Meenan-Heath, 90, of Virginia Beach passed away peacefully on August 2,2024. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on August 31, 1933 to Dempsey Ray and Lois Garner Magee.

She was the fourth daughter of six children. Lois loved art, cooking, music, gardening, interior decorating, and was a master homemaker. Every house was made into a beautiful home with her creative touch.

Lois enjoyed being a Navy spouse to her husband, Bob Meenan. They lived in California, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Japan, and settled in Virginia Beach with their five children. She was the “hostess with the mostest”, entertaining Navy friends for 30 years.

Her love for family was displayed through her generous heart and fun sense of humor. After Bob passed away, Lois met Fred Heath. They spent 30 golden years together until Fred’s passing in June 2024.

Survivors include three children, Robert Meenan (Theresa), Christine Bradshaw (David), and Elizabeth Meenan. She also leaves behind 3 stepchildren, Nancy Daugherty, Peggy Gann, and Rick Heath (Christy). Lois leaves behind a legacy of nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren as well as sister Joyce Monohon.

She is predeceased by Cmdr. Robert Meenan, her two sons, William Scott and Stephen Richard Meenan and her late husband Cmdr. Frederick Heath, as well as sisters Doris Morgan, Bonnie Davidson, and brothers John and Daniel Magee.

Our love and gratitude go to the wonderful staff at Discovery Commons and Traditions Hospice who encouraged a healthy life until Lois’s last day.
