Saturday, July 20, 2024 Pelin Dede, previously an executive at CWT, has been appointed to lead a new hotel program joint venture. This initiative, announced on Thursday, is a collaboration between Advantage Travel Partnership, a network of travel management companies, and Hickory Global Partners, a corporate travel consortium. Joining Advantage earlier this year, Dede will take on the role of head of accommodation for the newly announced joint venture, Global Stays, which is set to launch in 2025.

Dede, who previously served as senior manager of global suppliers at CWT, concentrated on global content for the TMC, according to her LinkedIn profile. Her career also includes roles at Expedia and Orbitz. Both Hickory and Advantage provide their members with exclusive negotiated hotel rates at various properties around the globe.



According to Advantage, Dede will lead the initiative, focusing on expanding the joint venture’s content and managing supplier contracts and negotiations. On Thursday, it was announced that Advantage Travel Partnership, a network of travel management companies, and Hickory Global Partners, a corporate travel consortium, will combine their hotel programs next year in a joint venture. Set to launch in 2025, this joint venture, titled “Global Stays – The Accommodation Network,” will merge U.

-based Advantage’s program. Both Hickory and Advantage provide their members with negotiated hotel rates at properties worldwide. Last year, Hickory was acquired by InteleTravel, a host travel agency, and serves clients that include TMCs, ARC-accredited Corporate Travel Departments, and other corporate buyers.

In 2023, BTN Europe ranked London-based Advantage as the third-largest TMC network in Europe, with gross global sales reaching €12.9 billion in 2022.The financial details of the agreement remain confidential.
