Vadodara: Eight govt primary and secondary schools in Vadodara city received facelifts thanks to corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds. While some of the schools are now equipped with a coding corner (coding laboratory), one got a computer laboratory, and four were equipped with mathematics square labs, designed to enhance problem-solving skills of students in line with the New Education Policy. "We took up the Gyanodadhi project to provide a range of resources to govt schools to bridge the digital and educational divide.

Apart from infrastructure projects, we also distributed 2,000 notebooks to support the daily learning needs of students," said Rangam Trivedi, who initiated the educational initiative under the Bhavya Bharat Foundation. "A total of 6,700 students at eight schools will benefit from this project," said Trivedi, adding that the project to elevate the educational landscape of govt schools was supported by Niravadya Foundation and CSR contributions from Alcon Laboratories India Pvt Ltd. "At Maa Bharati Primary School in Akota, we have started two coding centres.



At Veer Savarkar Primary School at Gorwa, a computer lab has been set up," he said. "Similarly, mathematics laboratory apparatus has been provided at Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Primary School at Gotri, Maa Saraswati Primary School in Diwalipura, Kavi Dula Kaag Primary School in Varasiya, and Swami Vivekanand Secondary and Primary School in Harni," he said.
