Vadodara: Volunteers of Wildlife Rescue Trust (WRT) had a tough time removing a crocodile that had entered a residential colony on Waghodia Road . A five-foot crocodile had sneaked into Akshar Vihar Society late on Sunday night. A local saw the animal and called the WRT volunteers.
However, catching the scaly beast wasn't easy in the dark. “The reptile was aggressive and kept thwarting our efforts. It kept running around making it difficult for us to catch it,” said a volunteer.
It tried to enter the compound of a house and then made a last-ditch effort to hide under a car. The volunteers managed to overpower it and take it to safety. With rain lashing the city, many crocodiles are venturing out of the Vishwamitri and moving to other water bodies.
