A brand-new brunch cafe has opened in Coventry , with a 'unique' feature that other establishments in the city just don't have. The Vault, located in the city centre on Little Park Street, is owned by Sajid and has a bank vault in the heart of the kitchen. The halal cafe opened in October and was the former Royal Bank of Scotland.
The vault was retained as its main feature to preserve the premises' history. The cafe offers a range of breakfast and brunch items and an evening menu that includes sandwiches, signature pizzas, ribeye fries, pasta, and kebab rolls. When I visited The Vault Cafe earlier this month to try the brunch, it was worth it.
The place had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the interiors screamed luxury and modernity, and the food was delicious, especially the Dubai dream cake, which was heavenly. Sajid told CoventryLive why The Vault cafe is a good addition to the city: "Coventry needed something different that was tailored to people from all walks of life. I feel a lot of cafes in Coventry have copied one another, so we wanted to stand out and be different.
"The floral décor inside matches the local area from Coventry University to Coventry Cathedral , which is aesthetic within itself. Many buildings within this area have something about them, and I wanted to match that with the vibes and atmosphere of the cafe," he added. The menu includes dishes such as avocado luxe toast, stacked pancake medley, vault keeper's breakfast, golden omlette wrap, and more.
