The new regular season is soon to start, and most rosters are finalized. There are still a few roster spots for taking, and training camp invites will have a shot at those, but looking into the Grizzlies' roster, there is much more uncertainty. That should be "more than enough breathing room to carry a full 15-man roster into the season if they want to," as Adams stated.

's current contract isn't a standard contract but a two-way one. There is a limit on how many games a two-way player can play in a regular season for an NBA team, so the Grizzlies could use one of the spots to upgrade him to a standard contract and ensure he is available whenever they need him. Flexibility remains vital for Memphis as the season .
